The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has banned all Smoking in public places.
For the adoption of the Law «On amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning the improvement of certain provisions of the limitation of tobacco Smoking» voted 366 people's deputies out of the 422 registered in the session hall.
It is prohibited the Smoking of tobacco products, as well as electronic cigarettes and hookahs in elevators and payphones
; in the premises and in the territory of health-care establishments; in premises and in the territory of educational institutions; children's playgrounds; in premises and in the territory of the sports and sports and recreational facilities and establishments of physical culture and sports; at entrances of apartment houses; in underground passages; the transport of common use, which is used for the carriage of passengers; in the premises of the restaurant of the economy; in the premises of cultural facilities; in the premises of bodies of state power and bodies of local self-government, other state institutions; on permanently equipped with stops EN-route vehicles.
It is prohibited, except for specially designated places, Smoking of tobacco products in the premises of enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of ownership; in the premises of hotels and similar accommodation of citizens; in the premises of the dormitory; in the airports and at stations.
The owner, persons authorized by him or tenants of the relevant structures or separate premises are obliged to take special designated Smoking area, total area of which shall not exceed 10% of the total area of the appropriate structures or premises equipped with exhaust ventilation or other means for the removal of tobacco smoke.
Restrictions on the use of tobacco products and the responsibility for their violation shall be established by the Law «On measures to prevent and reduce the use of tobacco products and their harmful influence on health of the population».
The law shall enter into force six months from the day of its publication, except for certain provisions, which shall enter into force from the day following the day of publishing of this law.
Earlier it was reported that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has banned the activities of the Euro-2012 Smoking, sell tobacco products and to place any advertising of tobacco products.
